The watch and chest strap is very easy to use. That is the good news. The bad news is that it is REALLY LOUD. It constantly beeps as it measures your heart rate. I cannot use it in an athletic yoga class to measure my output nor in a quiet gym. It is really distracting and makes it pretty much useless to me.
