Purchase Omron Pocket Pedometer PC Version

I purchsed two of the Omron pedometers for christmas gifts. One for myself and one for my wife. I have to say that they are easy to use and are very accurate. The fact that it is also a pc product makes the motivation factor increase as you can see your progress right on your computer. I would say it's a great product for any one you is trying to walk more and need help.

Order Vicks Forehead Thermometer

Ok ok I have read your complaints as stated on these previous reviews.
Yes the enclosed instructions may be somewhat confusing. But PEOPLE! are we not level headed adults? Use your common sense here. You simply touch the sensor head to the forehead and gently slide it over a few inches to the side of the forehead (the side hairline) where the temporal artery is. And you get your reading. Easy sqeezy.

Ok ok this vicks product is NOT as accurate as the Exergen Temporal thermometer. But safety is the issue at hand here. Over these past years we have become accustomed to the fast efficient EAR thermometers. Yes they are abit more accurate because the measure closer to the actual inner temperature (right off of the Ear drum capillary supply).

But the covers which are required to protect the sensor are dangerous. Their dimentions 25x27 mm would unfortunately fit too nicely into a childs trachea. Of course we all try to keep these kinda things away from the children. But if one of these clear pliable plastic covers falls onto the carpet.....well the possibility is real.

If its accuracy that is an issue then you have to go with an oral (under the tongue) thermometer. HA - try getting that temp reading in a feverish cranky toddler.

These forehead thermometers give you a good enough accuracy to determine if the temperature is alittle elevated, ie; 99.6 or something to be concerned about and take action, ie; 101.6......... And there are not dangerous caps to worry about.Get more detail about Vicks Forehead Thermometer.

Shop For Timex T5G751 Data Recorder 2

This product works as advertised. The associated software works as well. Thus I have no complaints about the product and therefore can recommend the purchasing of this product.

However, my intended use of this product was to work in conjunction with my Timex heart rate monitor, speedometer, and watch. Thus this data recorder is part of a larger system for collecting fitness data.

I went with Timex vs. some of there competitors in this space as the watch and HR monitor were gifts. Overall I have been pleased with the system (although the HR sensors went bad sooner than I thought they should). But the Timex philosophy was to keep the size of the watch unit relatively small so that it could be used as your day to day watch. Therefore the overall system is broken up into pieces (this data recorder being one.)

To use the overall system, you have to strap on the watch, the HR band, the GPS unit, and the data recorder. Then you have to get the system working and synched up with the watch prior to starting your workout. This process, while not painful, is not elegant. Thus I am not convinced this multi-unit approach is optimal.

Again, this unit (and the overall Timex fitness system) work as advertised. If you don't mind having several units strapped to yourself to generate and record your workout information, then this system is likely something you should consider purchasing. If you would prefer a single unit that is larger but more integrated, then keep looking.Get more detail about Timex T5G751 Data Recorder 2.

Forerunner 405 Black Sport Watch W/ USB Ant Stick

I've loved having this watch. I really like knowing how fast and how far I've gone on my runs. The heart rate monitor is an added bonus. The GPS is always exactly accurate when compared to my car's odometer or when running on a track.

Some people have said they've had problems with the touch bezel when it gets wet or when hands are sweaty but I haven't had any trouble at all (not even when it was raining). It always works for me every time. I would recommend this watch to anybody - I love it.Get more detail about Forerunner 405 Black Sport Watch W/ USB Ant Stick.

Escali Primo 11-lb. Capacity Digital Scale - Pumpkin Orange Review

I love this scale. I use it every day. It scoots back and forth between grams and ounces with ease. It tares like a dream, which is great if you have to weigh something like meats - by weighing a bowl and then setting that to "0", you don't end up actually putting the raw beast on the scale (ick). And it's extremely intuitive and easy to operate. The funky, retro orange color is super-cute and looks great in my little kitchen (if that's your decor, I'd go with the 70s Pumpkin Orange over the Deer Hunter Orange option). It's small, and uses 2 common AA batteries (included!). I love being able to weigh portions instead of relying on measuring cups, and I have found some nutritional info serving sizes to be dead wrong (a serving will be "x grams or approx. x pieces", but if you weigh it, it's really far fewer pieces than suggested. Sneaky). Also, I have scone recipes from UK that list ingredients according to weight instead of volume. I'm psyched to finally be able to make the family scone recipe the correct way. This was a brilliant purchase, and I'm glad I got it. Get more detail about Escali Primo 11-lb. Capacity Digital Scale - Pumpkin Orange.

RESPeRATE Ultra Blood Pressure Lowering Device, One User This instant

My wife and I tried it for about a week, and it does help you slow down your breathing rate and pulse somewhat. However, for what it does, the value for this item isn't anywhere near $400, it should be closer to $100-150. We ended up returning it.Get more detail about RESPeRATE Ultra Blood Pressure Lowering Device, One User.

Timex Expedition WS4 Widescreen 4-Function Watch (Black/Orange) Immediately

First of all I love Timex -- this watch keeps time well, it's alarm works fine, all the usual time piece type stuff work fine. However those things are not the reason you would buy this watch, you buy it for the altimeter, barometer, thermometer, weather condition and compass right ? Well the altimeter was off -- the barometer was off- I was unable to adjust them -- the compass went haywire on me only once , thank god I was not in the back country and really needed it --the temperature ( the manuel says" it will be off by 10 degrees") mine was off by 12 - 15 degrees , it recommends it be worn on your belt- if you want an accurate reading- ON YOUR BELT-- IT'S A WRISTWATCH. The weather conditions well if the other settings don't work that feature didn't have a chance . I gave it time, I played with it, I wanted it to work but will listen to reviews more carefully next time.Get more detail about Timex Expedition WS4 Widescreen 4-Function Watch (Black/Orange).

The First Years American Red Cross Underarm Thermometer Best Quality

When you're child is too old for rectal and not old enough for under-the-tongue, you get this one.
I first bought a Braun ear thermometer that turned out accurate only a small percentage of the time when I got the angle into the ear correct.
I have since bought this underarm thermometer and it is easier to use and therefore gets a more consistent temperature. My 19 month old allows me to hold it under her arm and it only takes 8 seconds, then beeps to tell you it's ready. Very easy to use. You do have to remember to add 1 degree onto whatever reading you get to get the accurate temp.
When my child had a 102F fever last week, I used this thermometer AND the Braun ear one to double check and was able to match up the readings easily.
Only under-the-tongue or rectal thermometers are the most accurate. Perhaps the temporal one as well, but I am not familiar with that one.
Otherwise, I feel using this thermometer and double checking with an ear one is your next best bet.

Professional OPHTHALMOSCOPE Otoscope Diagnostic Set with Zippered Leatherette Case. Get it now!

I am currently in grad school to become a nurse practitioner and it was "recommended" that we buy a dual-purpose scope for more practice outside clinical settings. I found this one and it was very reasonably priced and I am very happy with my purchase. The otoscope use works very well, and you are able to visualize everything you need to (tympanic membrane, cone of light, etc). The opthalmoscope does work, however the light is not as bright as other scopes I have used in office settings.

Basically, it gets the job done for the price. I did not want to spend $500+ on a set that I was really just going to be using for practice or whenever a scope was not available at my clinical sites (which is rare). It does the job well and it is definitely a great practice set. If you are going to be using a scope frequently or needing to really visualize the eyes in depth, then it might be good to splurge for the more expensive Welch Allyns, but otherwise, this was a great purchase and will be perfect to get me through the last 2 semesters of my grad program!Get more detail about Professional OPHTHALMOSCOPE Otoscope Diagnostic Set with Zippered Leatherette Case..

Omron HEM-773AC Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor with Easy-Wrap Cuff and IntelliSense Order Now

This is a very good blood pressure unit, easy to use, comfortable. It never over inflates - other units occasionally decide to use a second reinflation cycle, which way over inflates and hurts.

The only complaint that I have with it is that the wall wart it comes with generates a huge amount of elf/emf (whether the unit is in use or not). So, I'd suggest keeping the wall wart (not necessarily the bp unit itself) at least 4 to 5 feet, maybe more, away from your head while sleeping. I have measured the wall wart that comes with the hem 780 to generate much less elf/emf. Unfortuneatly the 780 does occasionally overinflate, which I hate. Also, the 773 uses a separate on and off button from start, and the 780 uses only one button, a bit less user friendly.Get more detail about Omron HEM-773AC Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor with Easy-Wrap Cuff and IntelliSense.

LifeSource UA-853LAC Premium Digital Blood Pressure Monitor with Large Cuff Decide Now

I purchased the BP Monitor 6/12 and it arrived 6/18, shipping is fast and ordering is great. I tested the BP Monitor out as soon as i got home from my medical school, it works perfectly and there are no glitches the reading is acurate and setting the time, day and date with year and alarm is easy. the numbers are large enough to read without glkasses.
i am impressed with this unit so now i don't have to go to the drugstore to get a BP reading when i have to go to pick up allergy medicine, ect.
the cuff is large for arms 14.2 to 17.7, medium is for arms 9.2 to 14.2.
i normally would get a medium, but the large cuff fits good even if it overlaps a little. I might have to get the Medium cuff.
if i could i wood rate this a 10 pkus 100% approved by a med student
i highly recommend the Life Source Blood Pressure Moniter: model UA-853LACGet more detail about LifeSource UA-853LAC Premium Digital Blood Pressure Monitor with Large Cuff.
