I am currently in grad school to become a nurse practitioner and it was "recommended" that we buy a dual-purpose scope for more practice outside clinical settings. I found this one and it was very reasonably priced and I am very happy with my purchase. The otoscope use works very well, and you are able to visualize everything you need to (tympanic membrane, cone of light, etc). The opthalmoscope does work, however the light is not as bright as other scopes I have used in office settings.
Basically, it gets the job done for the price. I did not want to spend $500+ on a set that I was really just going to be using for practice or whenever a scope was not available at my clinical sites (which is rare). It does the job well and it is definitely a great practice set. If you are going to be using a scope frequently or needing to really visualize the eyes in depth, then it might be good to splurge for the more expensive Welch Allyns, but otherwise, this was a great purchase and will be perfect to get me through the last 2 semesters of my grad program!Get more detail about Professional OPHTHALMOSCOPE Otoscope Diagnostic Set with Zippered Leatherette Case..
