This simple pedometer is really all you need. I found it the best out of three pedometers I used.
I used one of these after the battery on my fancier Omron pedometer went dead. I found the AX-120 easier to use. It stayed on my waistband, was more accurate, and has that handy leash, which protects it from falling. Believe me, you want to use that leash. It makes the difference between a working pedometer and a non-working pedometer.
Although the Omron can be calibrated to your step length, if you both run and walk in one day, that renders the "mileage" data from it useless. It also tends to fall off your waist, since it has a pinch-clip like one of those things that you use to close a bag of chips...and no leash. One fall, and it started only counting three steps for every five.
I tried one other brand that I was given for free, and it was also pretty good, and pleasantly simple, but a little too sensitive. It tended to credit me with 200-250 steps just for my commute home, sitting in my car (okay, bumpy roads, but still.)
Conclusion: unless you're a real data junkie, this AX-120 is all you need. The price is great.Get more detail about ACCUSPLIT AX120 Dual Pack Pedometer, Steps Only, 2 pedometers..
