I first saw this heart rate monitor when it was recommended in a review on the [...]on-line store. It was described as being the best heart rate monitor for rowers. Having now got one, I have to say it is really good value for money. I use it mainly for cycling, but I have also used it on the indoor rowing machine. It is very easy to use and gives great feedback. I like to strap it onto the top of my handlebars, next to my cadence/speedometer, and I have no problem reading the display. The digital coded chest belt works really well even in a crowded erg room surrounded by other people using HRMs. It has a calorie counter, which isn't of much use for me, but some people may like that feature. What I really like using it for is to maintain the same workout intensity level when I'm battling into a head wind as when I had the wind behind me. Graco 5-Second Thermometer Review

I bought this thermometer when I was pregnant and getting all of my baby stuff ready. This thermometer was $10 and all the others were $5. I figured that since it was Graco, that it would be good. WRONG! This is the biggest piece of junk I have ever bought. Number one, it is NOT accurate. With it being flu season and the swine flu being in full force, every time my baby feels warm, I take her temp. Well one night I got 97.9, 105.1 and 101.9. I took the temp 3 times because the first temp did not seem right. Then the second temp came and I freaked for a second and then realized that no way is her temp that high. We then took it again, and who knows if that was even an accurate temp. After taking her temp 3 times and being aggravated, I ran out and bought another thermometer. When I got home and took her temp with the new thermometer, it read 98.9. Note: I also had the same problems as the other reviewer. This product really is garbage.
PLEASE, buy a different thermometer. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and stress.

I do not usually go by a booth at a conference and just to give personal recomendations for a product... but when you have an item that has such a big impact on my practice... I have to say I can't be without it!...the fact that it uses regular batteries and has a shut off to save the batteries ( the shut off can be made to last longer if needed) I did have a ear part break at the base on the first one that I owned (they have fixed this problem from what I can see on later scopes that I own) but I called and sent it in and it was sent back with reasonable time repaired... but I was also prepared with a back up... It'a a great teaching stethoscope as well!!! It has an adaptor that they can plug into... OMG!!! I can not rave any more about thist product ... I've been meaning to do this for some time...
