Timex Ironman Race Trainer Heart Rate Monitor Watch, Grey/Lilac, Mid Size Buy Now

Overall a good product I would recommend. Does what it's supposed to, looks good and is the right size. My only complaint is that the instructions are a little difficult to understand. Not a bid deal but for someone who is not used to bothering with the instructions it's definitely not as intuitive as I would like but. But, if you're looking for a hear monitor it's well worth the money.Get more detail about Timex Ironman Race Trainer Heart Rate Monitor Watch, Grey/Lilac, Mid Size.

LifeSource UA-704V Mini Manual Inflate Blood Pressure Monitor with Medium Cuff Order Now

Because you pump it up, you discover your readings are more acurate. You can pump up to a little higher number, and this device slowly comes back down and really give you a clear picture of your blood pressure. Something to do with it that could be critical is to take your blood pressure about two hours after you start taking your medications if you do that. Oxycodine sent my blood pressure from the 123/71 area up to the 180/133. You can get wild readings with some of the devices out there, but this thing gave me the scoop every time. Pedometer Watch Decide Now

I actually quit wearing this... It turns out that every little jiggle makes this move. Within an hr. of wearing it I had walked 5,000 steps and hadn't done more than drive to the store and drive home. I am disappointed. I suppose if you only wear it when you walk/jog/run then it would be fine, I was more hoping to see how many steps I walked in an ordinary day. The judgment will have to be yours - but if you are looking for the same thing I was, I think the $10 clip on from any store would be more beneficial.Get more detail about Pedometer Watch.

Prestige Medical Clinical I Stethoscope, Hot Pink Right now

I'm a nursing student and I was given a Welch Allyn Professional as a gift upon entering nursing school. I was so touched by that gesture that I decided to not use it too often in case I lost it during clinicals. I needed a replacement scope pronto!

I hit up my professors and asked what their first choice in steth was. Far and away, the winner was the Littmann Classic II SE (with one hold out who used a $15.00 Sprague Rappaport knock-off - what a trooper! Those things are torture!). So off to my bookstore I went and bought a Littmann for well over MSRP (brilliant, huh?)

Now, the Littmann is a nice stethoscope - loud enough for what I do (basic vitals, BP, auscultations, etc.), and is certainly built well. But I'm not a fan of the tunable diaphragm, where the user must change pressure to hear various pitches, all while keeping the rim evenly pressed on a patient's body. For a rookie like me, that's just one more thing to concentrate on. Also it turns out that Littmanns are a hot commodity, and around school and in the local hospitals they tend to walk off if left alone for a second or two. So I now had a second stethoscope I was paranoid about losing!

After copious online research and polling of other students and faculty, I learned of the Prestige Clinical Series (I already have the Prestige Aneroid Sphygmomanometer with Black Cuff which I love, but never considered their stethoscopes. I went to a local medical supply outfit and test drove a Stealth model. Wow! I was really impressed with the quality of the sounds I was hearing, as well as the overall build quality. Seriously, this is comparable to my Littman Classic II in terms of acoustics, and darn close in construction! The Prestige also came with a spare diaphragm, and three pairs of ear tips. Not too shabby!

I also like that the Stealth model looks classy, and slightly different than many of the other scopes floating around my school. And the soft ear tips are quite comfortable. Incidentally, the young lady working the front counter at the supply store is also a student at my school. She stated that they've never had a Prestige Clinical I returned, and customers (students and some pro nurses) only had positive things to say about them. I'd like to add myself to that number!

Great acoustics, comfort, adaptability, build quality, price, plus a classic diaphragm and bell... I'll take this bad boy on my clinical rotations, and if it goes missing I'll shed a tear. Then I'll go pick up another one!

Cheapest Polar S625X Heart Rate Monitor Watch

I traded up (according to Polar Support) to the S625X. I wore the S725i out and wanted to replace the perfect cycling watch with the perfect running and cycling watch. The 725 worked flawlessly for the most part, with no worries and no problems until the battery died and the watch simply wore out after about 3.5 or 4 years. The 625 simply put, never works. I have finally gotten it to record cycling data, so I will not change any settings. Forget about downloading data, it will not download the data to the Polar software - at all, ever. I contact Polar support and to my surprise, they were of no help. Basically, they told me it does not work. This product must be the one bad egg. But, I will think before I purchase another Polar product. On a positive note, it does keep the time and the alarms work well and I still ware it.Get more detail about Polar S625X Heart Rate Monitor Watch.

Cheap Safety 1st Hospital's Choice 8 Second Digital Thermometer

this thermometer beeps when it is done taking the temperature and works fine under the arm or orally. but, for some reason, when done rectally, it has never beeped to let me know the temp taking is complete - it just shuts itself off after 10-15 seconds. very frustrating as i'm trying to get newborn's temp to know if i need to take her in or not and i'm never assured that i'm getting an accurate reading. for oral or underarm it is fine.Get more detail about Safety 1st Hospital's Choice 8 Second Digital Thermometer.

Buying Suunto T6 Running Pack (T6c Heart Rate Monitor and Foot POD)

As a triathlete I'm always looking for the next magic electronic workout item. I currently love my Powertap for the bike and now I can add the T3C to that list of loves. It's not that complex to operate compared to other systems out there. The instructions are clear for those that have used HRMs and Power meters before.
I did research on all running packs from Suunto, Polar and Garmin. The direct results from friends with the new small Garmin is that it is unreliable and the Polar too expensive and complicated. I would prefer the t6 but for the money the t3 is perfect. Plus I don't lose reception when trail running.
I also got the bike pod and setting up the foot and bike pod is as easy as setting up a basic bike computer. The watch transitions from bike to run easily.
If you have never used an HRM before, you may find this difficult to set up as its not a simple Timex but compared to a Polar this thing was easy.Get more detail about Suunto T6 Running Pack (T6c Heart Rate Monitor and Foot POD).

Purchase Alkazone Ph Test Drops for Water ph with Color Chart

I bought this test to get a good idea of the pH of the water that gets piped into my home, as well as to test the bottled water I purchase from local grocery stores. And since I've had desires to manipulate the pH of the water I use (I add a small amount of ascorbic acid to a gallon of tap water to make it more acidic, then use it as a hair rinse. And sometimes, I add "pH drops" to my bottled water to make it slightly more alkaline.) - I bought this test to make sure I get the water's pH to a desired level. I have been quite satisfied with the performance and the general accuracy of this test.

As I just pointed out elsewhere on this site - the bottle of testing solution is quite small - about a third of an ounce (the exact quantity isn't listed on the bottle - but comparing it to a 1 ounce bottle, it appears to be somewhere around this size). However, this little bottle will yield you MANY tests - in my estimation, it will yield well over 100 tests. The way this test is run is as follows: you measure out 3 ounces of the water you want to test, then add two drops of solution to this 3-ounce sample of water. Stir the sample well; the sample will change to a color that is indicative of its pH. Compare the color of the sample to the "Color Chart" that is provided - the number on the chart that appears below the color that the sample most closely matches is its approximate pH.

This test works well as long as there aren't too many dissolved substances in the water: if the water sample is too saturated with dissolved solids, the test will not work. That said - from my experience, the test works well for tap water, bottled spring water, bottled distilled water (although you may be shocked at how acidic distilled water that's been sitting in a plastic jug can become!); and the above-mentioned waters with a small amount of a pH-altering substance added. Most likely, you can also use this testing solution to test the pH of water that is the product of your home filtration system.

I'm so satisfied with this product that I could have given it 5 stars: the only reason I didn't is that this test doesn't yield a precise, numerical pH. You can't use this test and say with certainty, "the water has a pH of 4.5"; rather, with this test, you're more apt to say, "the pH of the water is AROUND 4.5", or "the pH of the water is somewhere between 7 and 8." You really have to rely on your own eyes to "estimate" the approximate pH (colorblind people may have problems with this test). If you're absolutely in need of a definite, precise reading with a very low margin-of-error - or if you have high expectations about being able to say with certainty, "This water has a pH of 7.2" - you're likely better served in purchasing a pH meter. But if you only need a good approximation - this test is just fine. Get more detail about Alkazone Ph Test Drops for Water ph with Color Chart.

HJ-105 Digital Pedometer

I had owned this pedometer before but lost it. Tried others at local stores and finally had to order again through Amazon. There were several sellers all with different prices. Same product: HJ-105 with different descriptions. So I ordered based on price. This one has all the same features I remember as the one I lost: 7 day memory, EASY to program, accurate counting of steps. Unfortunately for me, you can only enter weight and stride length in metric. There is no option for pounds and inches. So, at the end of the day, I will also have to translate the Km distance to miles. But, I am looking forward to having a quality pedometer again.Get more detail about HJ-105 Digital Pedometer.

Timex Accu-Curve Oral Thermometer Review

This thermometer is a great concept, however, it never worked. I replaced the battery, but that didn't help. It turned on and looked at though it was going to take a temp and then...nothing. My 3 and 5 year olds did not like how it sat in their mouth. Get more detail about Timex Accu-Curve Oral Thermometer.
