I recently purchased this HRM. Below were the criteria on how I decided and a few comments to help others if they decide to purchase one.
1. Design. I didnt get to see the actual watch before I purchased this. From the picture it looks very nice. When I got hold of the watch, design is good but not very much as i expected. The metal body is not very solid (comparing it with a Seiko divers watch or one of the sport Nike watch I have). The metal body feels like plastic. The watch is very light because of this but still the overall design is good enough. The design is still one of the best of all the affordalbe HRM's I did a research on.
2. German brand. I trust German brands most of the time so I expect the performance is would be great. It works perfect on running but when I used it for swimming, the signal gets interrupted during the lapse and I had to stop for to get the HR readings. I didnt expect this to happen since it transmits through a digital signal. I can still use it for swimming though not just in a way I expected. the watch and the chest strap are waterproof.
3. Price. With the above it is still a value for money since the HRM works and I can use it for running and swimming. Get more detail about Beurer PM 80 Heart Rate Monitor Watch.
