I have been following a low carb diet for a while now and I was getting tired of getting online trying to find the nutritional values of foods that don't come prepackaged. This does it all, now I don't have to log onto the computer, carry some book, etc.

Which brings me to my next point, if you go out to eat or you eat away from your home you can come back and put in the foods you ate for the day and it will calculate it into your planned target values

This is basically like having fitday, sparkspeople, and other online nutrional trackers on your countertop without internet connection or subscription.

This item is advertised as "Ideal for expectant parents who want to listen to baby's heartbeat together". However, there are no instructions included or further information about how to use it that way. If it's being marketed to non-medical personnel, it seems to me there should be some information with the stethoscope. Furthermore, our doctor told us that she can't even find a baby's heartbeat with a stethoscope... she needs to use a different device (fetoscope)as a stethoscope is too hard to use for this purpose.

If you are looking for an item to hear a baby's heartbeat, this is definitely not it. Ask your doctor for a recommendation.

The stethoscope comes unassembled, you need to put it together yourself. It's harder than you would think, the tubing is pretty inflexible. The earpieces are extremely tight, to the point that it is painful to use for more than a few seconds at a time. We've tried to stretch them out but have been unsuccessful.

All the above being said, we are obviously not frequent users of stethoscopes and so really don't know how to use it. The materials seem fairly cheap to us but again, we have nothing to compare it to. I would recommend only people who know what they are doing with a stethoscope think about buying this...and I'd look at other ones before making a decision on what to purchase.

I'm giving this three stars as it was fairly inexpensive, and could possibly be useful in more knowledgeable hands... but this is probably not for the average Amazon shopper.

We have had this model of Taylor scale for at least 10 years. We have found it to be accurate, easy to use, readable from the person standing on it, easy to keep clean, convenient to stand on(plenty of foot-space), reasonable in cost.
If there is any aspect needing a change, it is the metal used for the scale. I note that after some years, the edges of the scale are rusting a very small amount. The scale seems to be painted metal, so the company might want to consider a different coating for the metal or to use, for example, stainless steel. We like the plastic weight markers that are around the scale meter, as one can slide one of the 4 markers to a target weight one wants to achieve, or
mark where one is so that changes can be seen at a glance, etc.
