I purchased my first scale and really enjoyed it. It was mainly used for trend analysis. I enjoyed it so much that when my daughter needed a scale I bought her one. Within a year or so the display went out. The unit appeared to be functioning, just the display was not working right. I changed batteries with the other scale with no luck. I was upset that I couldn't get Tanita to replace so I used my daughter's scale when she stopped using it. That worked well for another year or so until the display went on the fritz in that unit as well. Great unit during it's life cycle. Good for trend analysis. Expensive to use especially since the units don't last more than a year or two.
