I bought this scale specifically for the body composition features. I had a Tanita before which worked great, but it only measured Body Fat %. This scale (Homedics SC-540) claims to measure Body Fat, Muscle, Water and Bone percentages.
The problem I am having is that I only ever get an "Err" message when I try to get my body composition. The scale portion works fine and provides an accurate weight in large, bright, backlit numerals. After the scale has displayed my weight, it attempts to calulate my body composition. It always ends up with an "Err" message. I have moistened my feet, tried using it after a shower, re-read the manual, yet I cannot get it to display my body composition. It is very frustrating.
