The MIO is a fine sport watch and nearly flawless heart rate monitor. As a cardiac patient, I take the heart rate seriously, and this thing is terrific. It quickly and accurately provides heart rate when you follow the simple instructions, without a chest strap, even while working out or running.
I have only one complaint about the MIO. The typeface used on the display is unnecessarily difficult to read. It is a long, skinny typeface that makes reading difficult for people who wear reading glasses. If you wear readers, just be aware that you will not be able to read this display without your glasses. Period.
But for the price, it performs well, looks good, and is obviously made with quality. Simple operation and it all works. All in all, a good job.
