I bought this thermometer to check my daily temps. It reads very close to the mercury thermometer that I had been previously using. It is much quicker, about 20 seconds. So far I like it. Get more detail about Lumiscope 2210-214 Quick-Read Digital Thermometers, (2-Pack).
