From day one this thing hasn't read the same temp twice. The readings can swing 6 degrees from one minute to the next, in the same ear. I have a sick baby now and I can't get it to work at all. It is just showing all the past tempreature readings in the memory. Who wants a thermometer with memory anyway? That's the lamest feature and now I can't get out of it. I just tracked down a micro-screw driver to change the batteries in case that was the problem. It wasn't the problem. I am so annoyed. I cannot pack up three kids, two of them sick to go out and buy a new thermometer tonight. Get more detail about American Red Cross Instant Ear Thermometer.
