I received this as a wedding registry item and thought it was alright at first, but once we started trying to lose honeymoon pounds it became very frustating to not get a consistent result from this scale. I can step on and off and get all different numbers with a range of 5 or 6 pounds. That's a lot when you are trying to lose 10 or 15! I visited the Homedics website, one of the FAQs was concerning this. Their response was that you must allow the scale to reset for 15 minutes in between readings! Since the first result is usually much higher than the medical scale at work, I'm really not interested in waiting 15 minutes for a more reasonable reading.
