I am a walker, and a part of a Walking Club. We try to do 5,000 to 10,000 steps a day.

Cheap Sportline Walking Advantage 360 Fitness Pedometer

This is the 3rd unit I have purchased in 1 year, the first one just fell apart. I use the unit daily, I find that if your battery holder rattles a lot the unit will reset with out warning, if you drop the unit it doesn't hold up well and typically resets.
