I was very shocked and disappointed to learn when I received my Forerunner that it does not calculate calorie expenditure after a workout.
The main reason I wanted to purchase a HR monitor was to make sure I was not overstressing my heart and that I was working at optimal cardiac efficiency and also to see how many calories I was burning for each workout.
Many lower priced monitors offer this option and I was surprised that with the sophistication of this monitor it did not offer it.
