I just set up my Black Prescision model. It is even slimmer than my Silver Model and lighter too it seems. Batteries are included. No tapping required....just step aboard. I prefer this model because of the surface texture too...not cold or slippery glass. if you relocate it, just ignore the first readout. Ditto at first use---second readout is the one to use.
