This product worked ok (minor hiccups) for over a year, then suddenly stopped. I tested the batteries and they were fine. I changed to new batteries anyway and sure enough the scale worked for a few months, then stopped again. I swapped back to the old (still good) batteries, scale works for a few weeks. It is now completely dead. I called Conair and they offered to send me a new scale if I sent back the old one (at my expense) and included a $5 check to cover the cost of them shipping the new one. So, good money after bad? of course if the NEW scale does not work, I can waste another $15 or so to get still another. What a deal-----for Conair.
