This scale, like all other digital scales I've used, varies about a pound or two between readings, but that's not really a big deal. I learned in chemistry that it's a good idea to take three readings and use the average. Pairing the pod is a little tricky. I tried using a magnet from my old speedometer, and it did not work. The problem is that you'll need to activate the pod before you can pair it to the watch (by simply turning the weel), and there is no indication whether that indeed worked. Documentation is a little brief. I choose to mount it on my rear wheel, and I mounted it upside down so the pod was closer to the magnet. I have no clue if these are the best choices, but it works now and since it is connected to the bike with tie-wraps I am not going to change it. Despite this, the setup was actually pretty quick, and it worked without problem for the few rides I did after installing it.

This is a great heart monitor sports watch. Chest strap is comfortable to wear with no chafing, the watch readings are mostly accurate for high intensity workouts. The only thing I have noticed is that the calorie expenditure reading at low intensity workout( 50-65% VO2 max) is not very accurate. It showed only a 120 calorie bunred for an intense 1 hour 15 min of weight training which doesn't seem right.I mean you burn more than that just by doing yoga! But the cardio calorie readings are pretty close to what I expected. For 70 minutes of running @ 10 min/mile showed a 625 calorie which is close to what I expected.
