I've had the 4100ws for about a year, and am very pleased with it. The sound quality is very good, and it eliminates some (but not all) background noise. I have found it to be an outstanding teaching tool. The recording function is very easy to use, and the IR transfer works well. IR transfer to a desktop works only on windows XP at this point, which is frustrating for us mac users. You will need access to an XP machine to pull the recorded clips off. I often use the clips in presentations. This works very well, but you need to know that regular computer speakers won't be adequate. On normal speakers, the clips won't sound much like the murmur you are trying to present. I paired mine with a Bose sound dock, and the murmurs sound quite real when played on that. This is a GREAT way to teach med students, nurses, RTs, etc.... when you come across infrequent auscultation findings, you can record them and later play them for your colleagues so that everyone can gain some experience from the unusual presentation. I also love the 'slow play' feature, that lets me slow the playback down to 1/2 speed, to make murmurs easier to evaluate for students. I originally bought this scale for monitoring the weight gains of hatchling geckos (inside plastic cups, not touching the scale), but when I started dieting this little scale kept finding its way into the kitchen and my purse. Though it won't go over 7oz, I can just weigh 2 halves of a baked potato at a time, etc, and most single serving things aren't/shouldn't be that heavy anyway. I've had it for almost a year and it really is wonderful, little, and accurate. As someone else has mentioned, this scale will give you different readings even if you step onto it a couple times in a row. However, the difference is only by a couple of pounds, so I suppose it will do the job okay if you don't need it to be accurate down to the last pound. Although I had expected it to work better than one of the cheaper $10 scales, so I am still disappointed by its performance. I thought getting a digital scale would mean a more accurate reading.

Also, I have yet to get the weight tracking feature to work. I tap the lower corner but it doesn't display a '1' or '2,' and it doesn't show an up or down arrow, or the previously recorded weight when it's started up and I step on it.

I'd suggest paying a little more for a better quality scale. Unfortunately, I didn't hold onto the receipt so I'm stuck with this thing. I'm not interested enough in tracking my weight to bother spending more money on a scale at this point.

Cheapest ADC ADSCOPE 657 Electronic Stethoscope, Black

I appreciate the feel of the ADC Electronic Adscope. It was so attractive when I took it out of the case. I found it worked really well in the beginning. Sound seemed adequate and murmurs heard fairly easily. Found a few in patients in whom I had not detected them before. Seemed relatively well balanced except for the battery which, although placed about in the middle of the scope, many times caused the scoped to slip off my neck.

Having lived with it over a year (and no longer using it) I wanted to provide feedback for others looking to buy one.

1. It is not durable. I sent it back for repairs the diaphragm cracked and they fixed it free of charge. Took about 3 weeks.
2. Within 6 months the diaphram was broken again (cracked at the sensor.
3. The sound is not stable. As the batteries wear down, even before it warns you that batteries need to be replaced, it starts to crank the volume so that it is uncomfortable to use. When you replace batteries, fixes the problem.
4. Showed wear fairly quickly - the buttons wore off their arrows indicating volume level within a few months.

This is my second electronic stethoscope. When it broke the second time, I said "That's it" (or some unprintable words to that effect.) My first scope was a Philips and it also did not survive, requiring 2 visits to the shop (and then the graveyard) . I read a review on a Littman that fell apart after 3 years. I honestly feel that none of these scopes are durable enough to take the pounding of a good non-electronic Littman or Sprague-Rappaport (which I am now using again after 4 years with electronic). Much like cell phones, they seem to have a fairly limited lifespan.

I use an Apple Iphone and love it, especially its durability. We need to get Steve Jobs involved in this project and some real world testers, probably medical students that will beat the heck out of these scopes while they are in the testing phase, so they can survive the real world (the scopes not the medical students LOL).Get more detail about ADC ADSCOPE 657 Electronic Stethoscope, Black.

I've been an RN for nearly 30 years so have taken many blood pressures. This one was different from any handheld cuff I'd used since it is digital. I have to remember to turn it on before I apply it to the patient or it doesn't work right....that is not a problem. It pumped up more easily than any cuff I'd ever used but it also let the air out just as easily so took me 2 tries to learn to control that valve...not a problem. Big enough display for "older" eyes. Two nice features-backlit so can see at night easily AND automatic pulse-real time saver especially if counting respirations isn't necessary. My only complaint would be that it comes only with a standard cuff which isn't big enough for large arms-of course, it can be easily switched to another cuff if you have one.
